Question by Dave: What higher level sales jobs can you get from having car sales and other sales experiences/skills?
If you’ve been in car sales for a couple years, are there any other types of sales jobs that you might be able to get (with having that kind of experience) that would pay even more? Corporate jobs? Someone suggested diamond sales? Relationship selling? Any ideas? I’m trying to gather all my options here because I want to get out of car sales and into something higher paying that I might enjoy even more and that will challenge me MORE too…

Answer by MatthewO I can’t go into salary but I can tell you as a former car sales person you could do Business to Business sales, Mortgage Sales, consumer banking and even advertising sales. When hiring for these positions HR reps usually look for individuals with confidence and experience in sales. If you have a great sales record you will definitely stand out from the rest of the crowd. Before applying for any sales position I would look at the job requirements and expectations, then write down 10 reasons why I feel I could fill this position. The main factor for these positions is confidence, as long as you’re well spoken, professional and have at least 2 years in sales (which you do) you will be fine. Wishing you the best of luck.
